Keith Cronrath

Keith Cronrath, P.E.

Mr. Cronrath has been active in forensic engineering since December 1986. During this time Mr. Cronrath has investigated approximately 70 to 110 cases per year involving traffic accident reconstruction, automotive defects and failures, railroad accidents, failure analysis of a variety of materials, ladder accidents, and machinery failures and malfunctions. He has been qualified as an expert in numerous state and federal courts.

Mr. Cronrath is a licensed Professional Engineer in Mechanical and Metallurgical Engineering in Washington and Oregon. His education includes a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University and an Applied Science degree in Auto Mechanics from Spokane Community College.  He belongs to several professional societies including Society of Automotive Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASM (formerly known as American Society of Metals), Washington Association of Technical Accident Investigators, and Forensic Accident Reconstructionists of Oregon.

Prior to a career in forensic engineering his career included 3 years as an evaluation engineer in the electronics industry and 4 years as a mechanic diagnosing and repairing automobiles, light duty, medium duty, and heavy duty trucks.
